തിരുവനന്തപുരം:പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും അബുദാബി കിരീടാവകാശിയും യുഎഇ സായുധ സേനയുടെ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി സുപ്രീം കമാൻഡറുമായ ഷെയ്ഖ് മുഹമ്മദ് ബിൻ സായിദ് അൽ നഹ്യാനും ഇന്ന് ഒരു വെർച്വൽ ഉച്ചകോടി നടത്തും. ഇരു നേതാക്കളും ചരിത്രപരമായ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. ആസാദി കാ അമൃത് മഹോത്സവ് എന്ന പേരിൽ ഇന്ത്യ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ 75 വർഷം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന വേളയിൽ രണ്ട് രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ചരിത്രപരവും സൗഹൃദപരവുമായ ബന്ധത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് ഇരു നേതാക്കളും അവതരിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. ഇരു നേതാക്കളും ഉഭയകക്ഷി സഹകരണവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിഷയങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുകയും, പരസ്പര താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള മേഖലാ , അന്തർദേശീയ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകൾ കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്യും.സമീപ വർഷങ്ങളിൽ, ഇന്ത്യയും യുഎഇയും തമ്മിലുള്ള ഉഭയകക്ഷി ബന്ധം എല്ലാ മേഖലകളിലും ദൃഢമായിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഇരുപക്ഷവും സമഗ്രമായ തന്ത്രപരമായ പങ്കാളിത്തം ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി 2015, 2018, 2019 വർഷങ്ങളിൽ യുഎഇ സന്ദർശിച്ചപ്പോൾ അബുദാബി കിരീടാവകാശി 2016, 2017 വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ഇന്ത്യ സന്ദർശിച്ചു. 2021-ൽ വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രിയുടെ മൂന്ന് യു.എ.ഇ. സന്ദർശനങ്ങളും വാണിജ്യ, വ്യവസായ മന്ത്രിയുടെ സന്ദർശനവും ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള മന്ത്രിതല സന്ദർശനങ്ങളും തുടർന്നു.
കോവിഡ് -19 മഹാമാരിയുടെ സമയത്ത് ആരോഗ്യ സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്റെയും ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷയുടെയും നിർണായക മേഖലകളിൽ ഇരുപക്ഷവും അടുത്ത് സഹകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഉഭയകക്ഷി വ്യാപാരം, നിക്ഷേപം, ഊർജ ബന്ധം എന്നിവ ശക്തമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു. പുനരുപയോഗ ഊർജം, സ്റ്റാർട്ടപ്പുകൾ, ഫിൻടെക് തുടങ്ങിയ പുതിയ മേഖലകളിൽ ഇരു കക്ഷികളും തങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയാണ്. ദുബായ് എക്സ്പോ 2020 ലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പവലിയനുമായാണ് ഇന്ത്യ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നത്.
ഉഭയകക്ഷി ബന്ധങ്ങളിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന സംരംഭമാണ് സമഗ്ര സാമ്പത്തിക പങ്കാളിത്ത ഉടമ്പടി (സിഇപിഎ). 2021 സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ സി ഇ പി എ യുടെ ചർച്ചകൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു, അത് പൂർത്തിയായി. കരാർ ഇന്ത്യ-യുഎഇ സാമ്പത്തിക വാണിജ്യ ഇടപെടലുകളെ അടുത്ത ഘട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ വലിയ വ്യാപാര പങ്കാളിയാണ് യുഎഇ, ഉഭയകക്ഷി വ്യാപാര, നിക്ഷേപ ബന്ധങ്ങൾ കാര്യമായ പുരോഗതി കൈവരിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
3.5 ദശലക്ഷത്തോളം വരുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹത്തിന് യുഎഇ ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിക്കുന്നു. പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയുടെ കാലത്ത് ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹത്തെ പിന്തുണച്ചതിന് യുഎഇ നേതൃത്വത്തോട് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അഭിനന്ദനം അറിയിച്ചു. യു എ ഇ യുടെ വികസനത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സംഭാവനകളെ യുഎഇ നേതൃത്വവും അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. കോവിഡ് -19 ഉയർത്തുന്ന വെല്ലുവിളികൾക്കിടയിലും, പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയുടെ സമയത്ത് 2020 ൽ, രണ്ട് രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലുള്ള ജനങ്ങളുടെ സഞ്ചാരം പ്രാപ്തമാക്കിയ ഒരു എയർ ബബിൾ ക്രമീകരണത്തിന് ഇരുപക്ഷവും സമ്മതിച്ചിരുന്നു.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan will hold a Virtual Summit on February 18, 2022. Both Leaders are expected to lay out their vision of the historic and friendly relations between the two countries, at a time when India is celebrating 75 years of its Independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and UAE is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
The two leaders will also discuss bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
In recent years, bilateral relations between India and the UAE have strengthened in all areas, and both sides have embarked upon a comprehensive strategic partnership. Prime Minister visited UAE in 2015, 2018 and 2019 while the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi visited India in 2016 and 2017. Ministerial visits between the two sides have also continued, including three visits of External Affairs Minister and a visit of Commerce and Industry Minister to UAE in 2021.
Both sides have collaborated closely during the Covid-19 pandemic in critical areas of healthcare and food security. Bilateral trade, investment and energy relations have remained robust. The two sides are also strengthening their cooperation in new areas of renewable energy, start-ups, fintech, etc. India is participating with one of the largest pavilions in the Dubai Expo 2020.
A major initiative in bilateral relations is the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Negotiations for CEPA were launched in September 2021 and have been completed. The Agreement will take India-UAE economic and commercial engagement to the next level. UAE is India’s third largest trade partner, and bilateral trade and investment ties are expected to see significant enhancements.
UAE hosts a large India community which numbers close to 3.5 million. Prime Minister has expressed India’s appreciation to the leadership of UAE for supporting the Indian community during the pandemic. UAE leadership has also been appreciative of the contribution of the Indian community in its development. Both sides had agreed on an Air Bubble Arrangement in 2020 during the pandemic which has enabled the movement of people between two countries despite the challenges posed by Covid-19.
